Amsterdam – An Introduction

amsterdam canal
The Haarlemmerbuurt neighborhood of the Centrum borough of Amsterdam. Close enough to Singel and the Jordaan to easily access points of interest, yet small enough to have a neighborhood feel.
The gorgeous cheese display at Kaasland Haarlemmerdijk. This store was literally a 30 second walk from our apartment.
A hot bowl of goodness (phô) at Phô91 in De Pijp neighborhood – a 10 minute walk from The Rijksmuseum.
A quaint little scene off of Vinkenstraat.
Korte Prinsengracht – Amsterdam with the flowers blooming, is really something else!
I can’t remember exactly where this is, but it’s close to Prinsengracht, the north end of it, at least.
The closer you get to the Jordaan and Singel area, the busier it gets – but still lovely!
The Saturday market at Noordekerk is a winding expanse of goodies – and the Noordekerk is pretty gorgeous herself.
Prinsengracht on a Saturday morning.
Peonies at the Noordermarkt.
One of my favorite canals – Brouwersgracht, close to where it connects to Korte Prinsengracht.

Excellent photos to show anyone who wants to see what Amsterdam might have to offer. Arty and pretty but enough to make decisions on.
